Legacy Genesis Collective

The Beginning

The Genesis Collective was founded in January 2021. They first approached us around this time, needing a website that showcased their organization's mission and media. In the early days of a non-profit, a good-looking website is a crucial tool to gain funding, traction, and attention. We understood this and aimed to work with them to create a website that stood out in the non-profit ocean.

Challenges

Promoting Art Excellence

Gaining funding is a challenging experience for non-profits in the art sector. The non-profits that stand out most do so because they have an excellent showcase of their work. Oftentimes, the funding that standing out gets you is what's required to have an excellent showcase of work. This chicken-and-egg type problem meant that we needed to provide a solution that did the job, but also wasn't out of the non-profit's budget.

Lending Library

The Genesis Collective wanted to open a lending library on their page for individuals focused on creating. Lending laptops, cameras, microphones, and more online is a big challenge that required a great level of effort to get right.

Solutions

The Genesis Collective does amazing work, and they deserve a great website. We aimed to give them a website for a lower-than-market rate, and due to our costs and scale at the time, we were able to do this. They were very new on the non-profit scene and were entrusting us with a lot by asking us to make their website. As such, we spent a great deal of time working with them to ensure that they had precisely what they needed to be able to make a big impact from the get-go.

Various technical aspects of this website presented a level of difficulty we had not encountered up to this point. We worked hard, innovated, and engineered a solution. This contract was completed in the very early days of Iliad, but we see the work here as the building blocks of the reputation we have built for ourselves in innovation and providing affordable custom solutions for clients when they have needed it most.
